How Large Were The Timber Hangars?

Blimp Hangar Cross-SectionEach of the original timber blimp hangars were fashioned after a common design, so they all share the same general dimensions. There are a few exceptions however, as noted below:
STANDARD DESIGN
Length: 1,072'
Width: 296.5'
Height: 182.82'

NAS HOUMA, LA
Length: 1,254'
Width: 296.5'
Height: 160'
NAS TILLAMOOK, OR
Length: 1,086'
Width: 296.5'
Height: 195'

** Poor soil stability dictated the use of clamshell doors at Houma, and an extra bent was built into each of the hangars at Tillamook.
