ABC A-60+ Control Surface Image Source: Personal Collection

Shown here, is one of four control surfaces of the A-60+ Lightship. Like the U.S. Navy's later classes of blimps, this airship follows a proven design, and has its fins mounted in an inverted 'Y' configuration rather than in an 'X', or the long-used cross-pattern of the wartime blimps.
