This awkward looking airplane was used for training U.S. Navy pilots during the early years of World War II. With a short wingspan of 36 1/2 feet, and a single 145-hp (Warner R-500-4) engine, it's not surprising that the maximum speed obtainable, was only about 125 m.p.h.
