Hangar B - Catwalk Stairs Image Source: Personal Collection

This is another view of a stairway, which leads to an overhead catwalk. Since the hangar was constructed with arched timber trusses, the ceiling is naturally curved. To accommodate this unusual design feature, the naval engineers created a series of stairs and landing platforms.
