Model Of Arch Truss Image Source: Personal Collection

Before construction of the wooden blimp hangars began, engineers first created a working 1/4 inch scale model. This arched timber truss section (called a haunch), is currently on display at the Tillamook Air Museum. It's the only known surviving piece of the original model.
