Comments: We,
the Orange County Historical Commission, are standing at the crossroads of the
fate of our two Santa Ana (Tustin now) blimp hangars. We have been told, among
many things, that they cannot meet the fire code requirements for public use.
Wish us well! Doris I. Walker-Smith |

Comments: As a
citizen of a city that most residents are unaware of the rich NAS history we
have here, I am on a mission to find out more about NAS Houma and the
happenings during WWII in our city. I recently found through an article in the
local paper, The Houma Courier, that the subdivision where I reside is actually
the location of the original POW camps!!! I am quite often ashamed of the lack
of interest in preserving any piece of history in our city and your site as
well as others is a breath of fresh air. I love to pass on Blimp Road through
the old NAS grounds and imagine what the old buildings and the area would have
looked like if it had not been demolished. Thank you for bringing this past
more into the present for this history nut! |

Comments: Sirs;
My dad worked with Charlie Kaman for quite a long time and I have a number of
very nice 8 x 10 glossies of the Kaman HTK1 which you have in your museum. I'd
be happy to dititize them and send them your way if you'd like. Email me if
interested and I'll send you one or two for your museum. I can provide very
hi-res copies which can be blown up quite well, ditigally. Roman J. Polaski

Comments: After
discussing my tour of the hanger several years ago, I decided to see what was
available on the web and found you. Have an archive of photos of a lot of the
A/C there at the time and when I locate them, will check back to see about
including some on your site. (You may email me about this if you
choose.) |
