Comments:
Was stationed at NAS Moffett right out of boot camp in 1960, and worked in AMD in a little building between hanger two and three. After compartment cleaning, I followed the jets to Lemoore in 1961. Many memories of my first duty station. Hope all of my old buddies are all well. Take care!

If there are any surviving WW2 veterans that may have served with my father, Andrew R. Walsh Jr., please contact me. I am his oldest son, a Vietnam Naval Veteran. My dad served as a radioman on an airship off the west coast. He told me of helping to bring in the airship to safety during a bad nighttime storm. He was an enlisted man at the time and later became an officer. I don't know what year for sure that he served at Tillamook but it could have been 1943-44. God bless you men who served our country and thank you.

I am seeking to locate information about my father, Andrew R. Walsh Jr., who served as an enlisted radioman aboard the blimps during WW2, around 1944-45. How may I find any extant information listing his squadron, pictures, etc? Sure would like to pass it on to my kids about their grandfather's service.

I was stationed there in the early 60's as a jet mechanic working on the A4B Skyhawks.
