Speaking of a small world... I grew up just outside the Glynco Base and had many friends who's fathers were stationed there. 30 years later, I am overseas and discovered that my vice president did his navigation training at Glynco.

I am trying to contact anyone with photos of the Navy Transmitter Building located at the Hitchcock Naval Air Station. A friend to mine has remodeled the transmitter station into his home. I have occasion to visit the remodeled structure and what an awesome home it has become.

I was stationed here in 1943 to 1945 on the ground crew. I worked any place on the mast, most of the time as a Tracker Driver. It's a great view from the top of the mast.
