Went into the past reflections site and saw where the building 6A was demolished in 1980. I guess that was the Barracks I was in, as I was in Flt. 6A5 while going to A&E school from August 1951 to May 1952. Have some pictures of some of the other buildings on the Base in a scrapbook. The Mess Hall building looks the same as I remember it. Lots of good memories from out there.

I was looking for information on the Cyclocrane. I was employed as an engineer (aerodynamicist) during 1987-89 by Aerolift in Tillamook. I wanted to point a friend to information on it, but I didn't find any. Could you add a link with histories of LTA tenants (Aerolift, Skytalk, Westinghouse)? Thank you and Merry Christmas!

Webmaster's Note: Although there are many resources that reference the development of the Cyclocrane, most are now considered out-of-date. We had previously discussed incorporating this subject into our website, but current projects have placed this on a lower priority level.

Your suggestion to include the histories of each tenant has been well received, and will most likely be incorporated as well.

I was planning on visiting the museum next week and was wondering the hours for visitation. I didn't see that info anywhere in this site. Thanks, Susan.

Webmaster's Note: Since our website is not affiliated with the Tillamook Air Museum, we have decided not to include the hours of operation. Although a link to this information appears in our FAQ Corner, here is the link for quick reference: http://www.tillamookair.com/.
