The
Historic Sister page has an error (I believe), as Moffett still has all 3
hangers. Hanger One was open for the airshow last weekend and the other 2
hangers were still across the field. I was severely distressed when my wife
& I drove up to Tillamook in 1995 to drive through the area again to see
the hangers. The loss of one hanger was sickening to us. Sorry for your loss.
We'll be back this September for another tour of your outstanding facility.
Webmaster's Note: Although the Historic
Sisters Page documents only the original 17 timber hangars, there is indeed
a third (steel) hangar at NAS Moffett Field. |
