Comments: I
really like your website. Nicely done. I emailed some pictures of the Hitchcock
Texas blimp base as it looks today. Thought you might like to see
it. |

Comments: My
late uncle M. Lundrigan was a Chief Parachute Rigger at Tillamook during WWII,
and I inherited two photograghs that were taken at NAST. I really like your
website, and wanted to note that one of my two photos is the same as your photo
(ZP33) of eight in the hangar. Your copy looks pretty fuzzy though and not as
sharp as mine. My other photo is of a single airship with mountains in the
background. I would be happy to scan and email these two photographs to your
website if you would like to have them. Just email me with the address and I
will send them. I also would be willing to make hard copies at the Walmart
Photo shop and send them in the mail to you. My only request would be that CPO
Merle Lundrigan is credited for them, if credit is listed anywhere. I don't
have a problem with my name listed as the sender though. Thank You, Dennis C.

Comments: My
father Cdr. Herbert B. Hosmer was X.O. of the base during 1945-47, and my late
sister Kathryn was born on the base. Some people may remember my dad by his
nickname: "Pink". He died in 1986. Kathy in 1996. His wife Jane is still with
us, at 85 years of age. She still has good memories of Tillamook and its great
cheese. |
